Who we are
History
|
On his return to Italy after some time
spent abroad experiences and spurred by his passion for
stamps, in 1936 Mario Zanaria decides to open a stamps
shop that is destined to become a datum point for all
those passionates about philately in via Brera.
Starting from the fifties the shop also becomes the gym in
which first Angelo and then Daniele Zanaria, shape to
become two of the best-known and appreciated philatelists
and experts.
As time goes by, after having served the greatest Italian
and foreign collectors, the shop in via Brera becomes too
small and, at the beginning of the seventies Zanaria moves
to via Santa Margherita, where it continues to run today. |

At the same time a research center activity begins, with
the cooperation of Mr. Gabriele Serra, and it leaves to
the creation of some of the most appreciated books of
philatelic literature.
With the entry in the firm of Mario, Angelos son, Zanaria
is today at the third generation of philatelists, ready to
approach the future with renewed enthusiasm and the
traditional passion for philately of quality.

Zanaria Today
Today Zanaria covers all fields of philately, from the Penny
Black to new issues, from hinges to philatelic literature.
The most important field of specialization remains classic
European philately, with a preference for the Italian States
and Italian Kingdom (for which it avail itself of the results
of the studies of the research center coordinated by Mr.
Gabriele Serra), France, Switzerland and all the Italian Area.
All items sold are carefully selected according to their
originality (all valuable pieces are guaranteed by a specific
certificate), and their quality, preferring those items that,
being without defects, can appeal even the most refined eye.
These are some of the services that are offered to Zanarias
customers: consultancy for national and international
exhibitions, research for specific pieces throughout the world
thanks to a well-developed international network of
cooperation, evaluation and purchase of valuable collections.
