1870 - letter "PAR BALLON MONTE'" fom "PARIS (60) 24 NOV 70" to "DIEPPE 13 DEC 70", forwarded to "LONDON DE 15 70".Carried by the "Ville d'Orleans", balloon that landed in Norway, the letter was part of the correspondence dropped in the sea, then recovered and forwarded to destiny by the postal service. This letter arrived to Dieppe even without franking, due to immersion in the see, then was taxed when forwarded to London with manuscript "6" and rare oval postmark"FR / 1.50" (Lheritier Euro 9.000).
